Altydgedacht farm is a historic farm located in the rolling valley outside Durbanville. Despite its heritage value and location close to an urban centre, the farm has struggled to remain financially viable. Jakupa was appointed as part of a larger professional team to test the development of portions of the farm. The design retains the agricultural function at its core and integrates its significant ecological and heritage assets into a vision for a sustainable development. This project required the full suite of statutory application processes to support the development rights process. This includes Act 70 of 70, EIA, HIA, VIA and LUPA applications.
