We have been appointed as urban designers and architects to produce a vibrant and integrated community, using a range of subsidized housing models [BNG, Sites and Services, FLISP, Social Housing, CRU] along with market driven housing, farming and income generation opportunities. This catalytic project is part of the larger Southern Corridor initiative of which Penhill has been earmarked to provide 8000 subsidized housing units. Our proposals have been developed to accommodate retail, work at home options and a range of civic functions to structure a settlement that is also responsive to environmental constraints. We have developed a range of housing typologies that are responsive to the urban realm, are organized along incremental models and exploit alternative technologies.
